LEFEET P1 Lite Care After Saltwater: Clean, Dry, Store

LEFEET P1 Lite underwater scooter in its standard two-handle configuration

Your water day may be over, but your LEFEET P1 Lite still needs a place in the clean-up plan. Leaving care until every bag is packed makes it easy to rush the last job. Give the scooter its own routine before putting it away.

The aim is to treat cleaning, drying, and storage as three separate jobs. A completed freshwater clean is not a cue to close the case.

Use the P1 Lite instructions

Use the official P1 Lite manual alongside this summary, and follow your unit’s supplied instructions if its version differs.

Follow the freshwater cleaning sequence

  1. With the scooter switched off and its waterproof closures secured, fully immerse it in a container of fresh water for approximately 30 minutes.
  2. While it remains fully submerged, run it at low speed for about one minute. Repeat this process 2–3 times as directed in the manual.
  3. Switch it off, then wipe the outside with a soft, clean cloth.
  4. Leave it in a cool, ventilated place until completely air-dried.

Keep fingers, hair, and loose equipment clear of the propeller during the submerged run. Switch off before any inspection or clearing. Never run the motor in air to test it or speed up drying.

Skip the battery-removal step

The P1 Lite has a built-in, non-removable battery. A care guide for a removable-battery scooter is not a reason to open this model. Keep your saved instructions model-specific rather than combining steps from different LEFEET products.

Plan for the gap between trips

For storage, LEFEET specifies a full charge beforehand and recharging at least once every three months during extended inactivity. Avoid direct sunlight and unsuitable storage conditions such as excessive heat or humidity. If water ingress is detected, do not charge the scooter; contact your dealer or service provider.

Make the routine easy to finish

Choose your clean-up location before leaving for the water. Think about where the freshwater container will go and where the scooter can finish drying afterward. These are useful questions for a weekend at home and for accommodation with limited equipment space.

A short care note can keep the next trip organized: record the session date, any issue you noticed, and when the storage charge was completed. Add a calendar reminder if the scooter will be unused for a while. This is an organizational aid, not a replacement for the manual or a reason to keep using equipment that needs attention.

Once care is finished, use our P1 Lite packing checklist to plan the next outing. If you are unsure about your unit or a care instruction, contact EAGLEROAM with the model name and a description of the issue before proceeding.
